Trademark

Distinctive sign used by natural or legal person in order to distinguish on the market their products or services from those similar or identical that belong to other natural or legal persons. Trademark has the role to personalize that specific product or service, to stimulate and sensitize the product buyer or the service beneficiary, and last but not least to offer him quality warranty. Distinctive sign registered as a trademark can be constituted of one or more elements such as : words, letters, figures, graphic representation (plane or relief ones), symbols, monograms, or signatures, colours, combination of colours, holograms, sound representations (sound or musical fragments), or any combination of these elements. The form of products and packing, or their conditioning, are trademark elements taken into account as well.

Trademark is applied or attached either directly on the product, on the paper work, on the packing, or the prints that make the offer of the products, services or paper work, on the packing, or the prints that make the offer of the products , as well.

Trademarks can be classified into more categories according to the:

- Destination and object: manufacturing, commercial, products and    services;
- Composition aspect: simple and compound;
- External aspect or impression left to the consumer: verbal,    figurative,   3D, sound like or smell like.
