Industrial design (industrial 3D model)

Industrial design is a three-dimensional aesthetic creation representing the shape of an object with an external aspect that expresses novelty on an international level and that can be achieved on an industrial or handcraft way. Creation effects of an industrial design must be aesthetic and/or decoretive but not technical. Usually the industrial design should have the quality to serve as prototype for an industrial or handcraft production.

Industrial design is legal protected in most of the states by the copyright law, as well as by specific legislation of industrial property. In Romania, industrial designs are protected by Law no 8/1996 regarding copyright and related rights and by Low no 129 regarding industrial design protection.
